I've been thinking of Simon, his family, friends and many colleagues since I received news of his death. Simon was an inspirational figure for many of us. What he did made a difference, and the way he did it was important too. I was always impressed by his brain. He took a scientific - in the best sense of the word - approach to everything he did and that's what gives his work such lasting value and impact. On top of that he always made his case so well. He was a great communicator, and people listened to him. He was always generous with his time and his ideas; he was good man and I will miss him. Becky Allen
